Depending on field requirements, the PChN and PCh series chisel plows manufactured by BDT-AGRO LLC are designed for subsurface tillage of compacted soil layers, which impede natural water circulation, at a depth of up to 45 cm. Straight tines with a detachable point form gaps through which moisture is exchanged with the underlying soil layer, improving the surface layer condition.
Unlike conventional plows, with PChN and PCh plows there is significantly less soil breaking. This reduces erosion and improves soil composition. Conservation of crop stubble in the surface layer provides the conditions for humus generation.
With the use of PChN and PCh plows, the energy costs for soil tilling decreased considerably. This means reducing fuel and lubricant costs as well as time spend on fieldwork.
The toothed roller, after one pass of the chisel, contributes to surface leveling without big clods and with high moisture conservation in soil. Apart from the toothed roller, the tool can be fitted with press wheels or helical press wheels depending on field requirements.
In order to achieve the best agricultural effect, it is recommended to use a chisel plow in combination with a BDM disk harrow. This creates favorable conditions for moisture accumulation in soil in autumn and winter.
The Chisel Plows manufactured by BDT-AGRO have the following advantages:
1. DEEP PENETRATION OF TINES INTO SOIL
The installation angle and symmetric arrangement of the chisel plow tines provide fast and easy deep tillage even in very compacted soil layers. Due to a special profile and tilt angle, the subsoiler breaks deep soil layers and tills soil without turning it over.
2. LINEAR ARRANGEMENT OF CHISEL PLOW TINES
The two-row frame construction of the chisel plow provides the distance between the tines, which guarantees efficient and uniform soil breakage, with significant fuel saving.
3. HIGH-STRENGTH STEEL WORKING ELEMENTS Heat treated (quenched) points, as well as teeth and scrapers of the chisel plow`s toothed roller are manufactured from high-strength wear-resistant steel. They break soil, undercut and grind crop residue with a minimal force. 4. TILLAGE DEPTH REGULATION WITH A TOOTHED ROLLER OR PRESS WHEELS The operation depth can be easily controlled by means of the rear toothed roller or press wheels of the chisel plow. The toothed roller increases soil porosity on the surface contributing to moisture penetration and air saturation of soil.
The PChN and PCh series chisel plows are supplied with a depth adjuster.
Depending on the soil condition, the tool can be fitted with press wheels, slatted, helical slatted or helical wheels instead of the toothed roller.
The slatted and helical slatted wheels manufactured by BDT-AGRO are designed so that a bar enters into the soil in a near-vertical orientation, and leaves the soil nearly horizontally. As a result, it digs, cuts ridges and levels the field surface properly after the tool passage.
When treating loose soil, for instance in tillage operations, when the wheels fall through and are clogged with the soil, the wheels shall be turned 180°. In this case, the bar will be laid down on the soil horizontally, and moved out of the soil vertically, thereby increasing the wheel support surface; the wheel will grab less soil, and its clogging will be reduced.
